Pa. House passes bill allowing students to repeat a grade to combat learning loss

Pennsylvania parents could opt to have their child repeat this past school year to help combat learning loss during the COVID-19 pandemic under legislation that passed the House of Representatives on Wednesday.

The bill, approved by a 201-0 vote, now goes back to the Senate for concurrence on changes the House made. An attempt to reach a spokeswoman for Gov. Tom Wolf about whether he would sign the bill into law was unsuccessful.
