Fitzgerald offers county police support to help address Downtown Pittsburgh safety concerns

Some Allegheny County police officers may be headed to Downtown to bolster the law enforcement presence amid escalating concerns about safety and violence.

According to multiple sources, county Executive Rich Fitzgerald has offered to provide a contingent of county police officers to supplement the work being done by city police.
